This gorgeous antique Victorian summer bed cover, coverlet, quilt top....a versatile beautiful piece is pieced together of turkey red squares each depicting a different picture with very fancy hand embroidery that runs between each piece. The center square is monogrammed, "M.A.P."...I've taken pictures of some of squares so you can get an idea of how special this is. The pure white cotton piece has a few flaws, but considering it's age (ca. 1890~1920), is in excellent condition. The flaws noted are some wear on the edges, some broken stitches, one corner has a small worn spot plus there a few squares that are a little paler in red...not sure if it was the thread or fading.....hard to tell. I think it would make a terrific tablecloth too! This wonderful piece measures 66" x 80" and has been freshly hand laundered, air dried and pressed.
