This mulberry transfer ware little demitasse cup & saucer was made by Crown Ducal in Tunstall, Staffordshire England in the Bristol pattern. The decoration has an Asian influence of a Griffin & Flying Peacock on the saucer & has an embossed scalloped rim. The cup is a pretty floral pattern. This piece was made between 1931-1937. The flaws are some light crazing and a very faint hairline crack only visible under bright light, is smooth to the touch, on the inside of the cup and does not detract from the appearance at all. The cup measures 2 1/4" tall and the saucer measures 4.5" wide. Perfect for displaying or to use in decorating! |
