Circa 1845, this beautiful plate blue transferware plate made by Joseph Heath, measures 9 1/2" wide. In very good condition, just age appropriate discolorations due to glaze imperfections, but there are no chips, cracks or flea bites. The tranquil scene features four people on the banks of a river looking at a castle with alps in the background. The lip has a linear pattern with scenic areas and scrolling. The backstamp gives the pattern name and makers mark imprinted with J. Heath.
