This is an antique c. 1891 oval serving bowl made by Coalport in England, The Kings Ware line with the lovely hand painted floral pattern called Lady Sylvia.  Ivory base with scalloped edges, motif's of exquisite hand painted flowers in vibrant shades of pinks, blues, violets, yellow and reds, foliage done in 3 shades of greens and edge trimmed in claret red.  Marked COALPORT over a Crown, and Kings Ware on a banner ribbon and under that "Lady Sylvia".  Condition is excellent with only very faint crazing if looked at in bright sunshine.  This piece measures 9 " long and 7 1/2 wide.
