Ready for your princess...this antique French white linen bed cover is really interesting....made in era of hand made beds ~ prior to "mass produced" beds, measures 55" wide (excluding the lace overlay) and 65" long, with a lavish turndown of 22". The entire cover has button holes along the edge (hidden under the lace in the turndown) which would attach to a larger feather duvet. The turndown has rows of 6 pin tucks and bobbin lace inserts and ruffle made of sturdy cotton. The crowning glory is the coronet monogram, a crown a "R" monogram. This usually indicated that it was made for a member of a royal family! Condition: one little hole under the lace trim, but absolutely perfect in every other way. Would make a stunning twin cover! |
