Cockington Forge, which is depicted in this old English Horse Brass, was founded in 1086 and the forge made horse shoes and still stands today with its thatched roof.  This charming horse brass measure 3 3/4" tall!

 

If you are not familiar with English horse brasses, they originated during the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses as well as being a charm. Horse brasses are a popular collectible.  In England they decorate the beams of pubs and hang by the fireplace in homes.
